All Bids Rejected The work to be performed under this contract shall include, but is not limited to the following major items of work: Installation, maintenance, and removal of soil erosion and sediment control devices as shown on the plans; = Installation, maintenance, and removal of traffic protection devices, including staged work zones with temporary provisions and intermittent detour, associated with vehicular traffic proposed for this project; Installation, maintenance, and removal of traffic protection devices associated with pedestrian traffic proposed for this project; Near-white abrasive blast cleaning and painting existing steel members of County Bridge No. F0817; Select areas of pedestrian railing replacement and repairs; Select areas of concrete sidewalk replacement and repairs; Cleaning and application of protective coatings for concrete components. Bids shall be delivered in sealed envelopes and addressed to Melissa A. Kosensky, Purchasing Agent, County Administration Building, Purchasing - 3rd Floor, 20 Grove Street, Somerville, New Jersey 08876, clearly marked on the outside with the contract name and number, bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside. The Somerset County Purchasing Division is maintaining Social Distancing; therefore, it is encouraged to Mail in your bid responses in a timely manner via USPS, UPS, or FedEx, etc. If they must be hand-delivered, potential bidders may drop them off at the Main Entrance of the County Administration Building, 20 Grove Street, Somerville, New Jersey 08876 and a Sheriff's Officer will contact the Purchasing Division to receive the responses. We value the integrity of the procurement process, and due to the circumstances, the bid opening will be conducted via Live-Stream from the County Commissioner's Meeting Room. Bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, payable unconditionally to Somerset County Treasurer, along with a Certificate (Consent of Surety) with Power of Attorney for full amount of bid price from a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and that said Surety will furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in amounts of 100% of successful bidder's contract.
