The County of Yolo is requesting bids from qualified Contractors for the construction of Airport Runway 16-34 Runups Aprons for the General Services Department at the Yolo County Airport per specifications outlined in this Invitation for Bid (IFB). All questions regarding this IFB are to be directed to Karen Kawelmacher in the "Question & Answer," section of this solicitation. Failure to adhere to this process may disqualify potential bidder. The County is not responsible for any oral or written interpretations from any other person. Contract duration: 90 days The Project will be construction of runup aprons on Runway 16-34. The work will consist of the following: o Demolition of existing pavements o Grading and preparation of the areas to receive new pavements o Grading of drainage swales o Construction of Asphalt Mix Pavement o Installation of retro-reflectors o Application of pavement markings o Application of permanent erosion control seeding of disturbed areas. The project is divided into two bid schedules: Base Bid and Bid Alternate 1. The Basis of Award will be on the Base Bid total. If funding allows, Bid Alternative 1 may then be awarded. The Engineer's estimated construction cost is as follows: o Base Bid: Four Hundred Thirty-one Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($431,500) o Bid Alternate 1: Four Hundred Ninety-two Thousand Three Hundred Thirty-five Dollars ($492,335) The total Engineer's estimate for both the Base Bid and Bid Alternate 1 is Nine Hundred Twenty-three Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty-five Dollars ($923,825)
