**As of April 20, 2022, Project has been awarded. Award amount is $$751,861.09** The Project consists of roadway improvements to various streets in Rahway as delineated on the Construction Plans. More specifically, work shall include HMA milling and paving, full depth pavement repair, sidewalk improvements including the construction of ADA-accessible curb ramps, reconstruction of curbs and driveway aprons, installation of bicycle safe grates and type 'N-ECO' curb pieces, selective tree removal, striping and signage upgrades, site restoration and other improvements described within the Bid Documents. Three sets of documents, one original and two CERTIFIED copies, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the name of the project on the outside and be addressed to the City of Rahway and must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the municipality and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of "City of Rahway" for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. Proposals for this contract will only be accepted from bidders who have properly qualified in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The right is also reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the Owner, except as to those items which are deemed mandatory and non-waivable set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.2. Further, the Owner reserves the right to abandon the project and reject the bids entirely if any legal or state or federal administrative action is taken against the Owner which could delay or jeopardize the project from commencing.
