Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Greenville, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
This program is to be completed in accordance with all terms, conditions, and specifications contained or referenced in this solicitation. The Scope of Work / Program Specifications section should be consulted for a complete detailed description of the work / services to be perform or supplies to be provided. Project Documents / Drawings for this solicitation can be found on the GCSD Procurement Department website as a separate attachment. The District cannot guarantee that any particular vendor will be selected or any business conducted as a result of this solicitation. The failure of a specific vendor to receive business, once it has been added to the awarded vendors list, shall not be grounds for contract controversy. Southside High School is a multi-story, precast- concrete panel, building completed in 2006. Currently, the building has deteriorated, exterior, sealant joints, at control joints, expansion joints, windows and other adjacent openings. The project will consist of the removal and replacement of deteriorated, exterior, sealant joints and wet seals at windows with new sealant and backer rods as recommended by the manufacturer during the dates of June 6, 2022- August 9, 2022. The project also has two following alternates: pressure wash the entire building; apply a waterproofing sealant on the entire building. Inquiry Deadline: March 1, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. EDT Vendors shall submit a Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid. The Bid Security must be in the form of a Bid Bond or Cashier's Check payable to The School District of Greenville County. No personal checks, company checks or cash will be accepted. Bid Security shall be submitted with the bid or the bid may be considered nonresponsive and not subject to an award. If the total amount of the awarded project exceeds fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00), prior to work commencing, the successful Prime Contractor shall provide the SDGC Facilities Department Project Manager with Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, each in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the awarded contract cost. EDT. Verbal questions/comments shall not be addressed at any time. The District reserves the right to accept or reject, in part or in entirety, any or all bids or portions of bids submitted by any Vendor and to waive any informalities or technicalities so as to purchase in the best interest of the District. The District reserves the right to interpret the acceptability of the proposed services and supplies when meeting the intent for use as determined by the end user.
