A separate performance bond and payment bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required of the Successful Bidder following award of the Contract by the City. No proposal shall be considered or accepted by the City unless at the time of its filing the same shall be accompanied by a five percent bid security as indicated in the Instructions to Bidders. Consideration will be given only to proposals submitted by contractors licensed in the state of North Carolina under the Contractor's Licensing Act of 1925 or as amended. The City reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all proposals or to award such contract as in its judgment is deemed to the best interest of the Project.
