Renovation of a water / sewer project in Iowa, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
A certified check or cashiers check, payable to the order of the Town of Iowa, Louisiana; or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable Surety, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Total Bid, shall be submitted with each bid. Bids may be held by the Town of Iowa, Louisiana for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding the Contract. Attention is called to the fact that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age or disability. The Contractor will be paid on monthly estimates in cash in accordance with the specifications. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. Such actions will be in accordance with Louisiana R.S. 38:2214. Performance and Payment Bonds for the construction are required upon execution of the Contract equal to one hundred percent (100%) of said Contract.
