The improvements consist of furnishing all labor and materials for implementing preventative maintenance measures on movable bridges in South District. This work consists of providing all materials and labor (include all Key Staff specified within this Common Special Provision) necessary to perform preventative maintenance (also referred to as cyclical maintenance) of the mechanical and electrical components and general housekeeping of the control house and piers. This maintenance work will be performed at the 5 DelDOT South District movable bridges, located in Kent County and Sussex County, Delaware. Expected and required submittals for the bridge maintenance work includes (but are not limited to) maintenance schedule, safety procedures, material catalog cut sheets, and completed Maintenance Checklists. Follow other incidental construction in accordance with the location, notes and details shown on the plans, and as directed by the Engineer. All work on this contract must be complete within 730 Calendar Days. The Contract Time includes an allowance for 0 Weather Days. The Department's intent is to issue a Notice to Proceed for work to start on or about May 16, 2022. - Each proposal must be accompanied by a deposit of either surety bond or security for a sum equal to at least 10% of the amount bid.
