Project No. 024-24020 for furnishing to said City all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and services for the Butterfield Stage Corridor Project, including asphalt, curbs, gutter, sidewalk, ADA curb ramps, water main, traffic signals, lighted pedestrian crossing, and all other appropriate appurtenances. A Certified Check, Cashiers Check, or Bidders Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid made payable to the City of Porterville will be required to accompany each proposal. Any contract entered into pursuant to this notice will incorporate only the applicable provisions of the State Labor Code. Compliance with the prevailing rates of wages and apprenticeship employment standards established by the State Director of Industrial Relations will be required. The right is reserved by the City of Porterville to reject any or all bids, to evaluate the bids submitted and to award the contract according to the proposal which best serves the interests of said City. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the City of Porterville with a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract and a Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The Contractor shall have Three Hundred (300) working days from the effective date of the NOTICE TO PROCEED to complete the required work. The Contractor shall pay the City LIQUIDATED DAMAGES in the amount of FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5,000.00) a day for each calendar day the project is delayed beyond the TIME OF COMPLETION DATE.
