54 4141 1815 201915 -197 Question Submission Close Date 3/10/2022 5:00 PM MST This project is a continuing phase to maintain the Airport's infrastructure. The project will consist of a surface preparation and an asphalt overlay to prolong the service life of the Airport's pavement. The project will consist of partial depth profile milling and a 3-inch asphalt overlay over the entire length and width of the runway, parallel taxiway and all connecting taxiways. The existing incandescent runway and taxiway edge lights will be removed and replaced with new energy efficient LED lights along with replacement of the aging airfield signs. A bid bond or cashier's check in a form acceptable to the City and in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid will be required on each Bid. Bid bonds/checks will be returned to unsuccessful bidders after tabulation and award of the contract The Salt Lake City Department of Airports has established a goal for DBE Participation in this federally funded project of 10.6% percent. The Contractor awarded the contract will be expected to make good faith efforts to meet this established goal through subcontracting with DBE firms or by entering into a joint venture with a DBE firm. A listing of eligible DBE firms is contained in the Contract Documents. It is the bidder's responsibility to ensure that all subcontractors have proper certification at the time of bid. Contractors not meeting this goal at the time of bid opening will be required to submit a statement of good-faith efforts at the time of bid as contained in the bid forms and may be required to otherwise show documentation of their good faith efforts prior to the award of this contract.
