Gas Storage Field Well Work over The City of Elizabethtown, KY is soliciting proposals from qualified firms for the "workover" of gas wells in the City's Gas Storage field located in Cecilia, KY. The City's Gas storage field in a 250 acre tract of land located in Cecilia, KY (unincorporated Hardin County), approximately one mile outside the city limits of Elizabethtown. The City of Elizabethtown is a full service city operating within central Kentucky, is the county seat of Hardin County, and serves approximately 35,000 residents. The City is governed through a Mayor-Council form of government with a City Council consisting of six (6) members elected at large, including a mayor elected for a 4-year term. Council Approval of Contractor March 7, 2022 The City would like to rework the entire well field over the next three (3) years. Contractor and the City will work together, after preliminary evaluation of the well field by the selected contractor, to determine the initial six (6) wells to be reworked. The contract term will be for the rework of the initial six (6) wells. If mutually agreed with the selected contractor the contract may be extended to include the entire well field.
