Site work for a civil project in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The scope of work includes drainage improvements to an existing detention pond, including approximately 1,800 cubic yards of excavation, grading, and construction of a concrete trickle channel. A State of Arkansas Contractor's License is not required to bid on the project; however, no contractor shall submit a bid prior to submitting an initial application (which does not require a full audit) for licensure, and no construction contract shall be executed until the successful bidder has finished an appropriate license issued by the State of Arkansas Contractor's Licensing Board. The City shall open and compare the bids and thereafter award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, but only if it is in the opinion of the City that the best interests of the City would be served thereby. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities, and to postpone the award of the Contract for a period of time which shall not exceed 90 days from the bid opening date.
