**As of April 14, 2022, project was awarded to Pratt & Sons Builders, LLC, awarded amount is $245,622.50.** The work for the Fairlawn Avenue Water Main Replacement and Road Rehab shall consist of, but not be limited to, the complete and satisfactory construction and installation of: - 750 LF of 8" Dia. DI Water Main - 2650 SY of Pavement Removal - 270 Ton of 19mm HMA Base Course - 185 Ton of 12.5mm HMA Surface Course - 610 LF of Slipform Concrete Curb.The work will include the installation of the water main and services along Fairlawn Avenue as indicated on the plans. Work shall also include full-width pavement reconstruction within the project limits, as indicated on plans. Water service is to be maintained in the existing water main during new main installation. Coordinate with the Water Department for requisite shutdowns. No Proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by a bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, made out in favor of the City of Lewiston. All bid securities will be released upon deliverance of a signed Contract or, if no Contract award is made, within forty-five (45) days after the opening of the Proposals, unless forfeited as herein stipulated. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, preferably executed on AIA Bond Form Number A311, in an amount equal to the total Contract price, of a surety company satisfactory to the Purchasing Agent will be required of the successful bidder to ensure completion of the work and the proper fulfillment of the conditions of the Contract. The total Contract price shall mean the total bid price as stated in the Proposal based on the estimated quantities of the various items of work. All work, including final loaming and sidewalk completion, must be completed by November 15, 2022. Paving of mainline road work must be completed by November 1, 2022. Interested bidders must register with the Purchasing Agent either through direct response to the City's RFP solicitation at mryerson@lewistonmaine.gov or by contacting the Purchasing Agent Allen Ward at 207-513-3040 or award@lewistonmaine.gov to be added to the bidders list. Questions and Requests for Information shall be submitted to Jeff Beaule (jbeaule@lewistonmaine.gov) on or before noon, March 17, 2022. Questions and RFIs will be responded to via email to potential bidders on the Plan Holders List and those registered with the City Purchasing Department for this project. The City reserves the right to negotiate with the low bidder to bring projects down to within budget.The Finance Committee reserves the right to waive any formality and may consider as informal any Proposal not prepared and submitted in accordance with these provisions. The Finance Committee reserves the right to accept any Proposal or reject any or all Proposals if it is deemed to be in the public interest to do so.
