Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Los Angeles, California. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

The Project shall partially renovate and construct an addition to the building at 700 Westwood Plaza, the Rosenfeld Building, to consolidate simulated medical training at UCLA. The proposed improvements shall create one of the few facilities in the nation to co-locate mock clinical experiences, surgical and procedural simulation, and inter-professional emergency and hospital team training in one building. The scope of work shall include a full renovation on the first level; construction of an addition on the second level; building-wide improvements including new electrical substation, fire sprinkler system, data telecom network, HVAC, and elevator upgrades including on Level A. Site improvements shall consist of replacement of exterior landscaping and select hardscape. The Project area is approximately 34,800 GSF / 23,534 ASF. The University has bid and awarded a CM at Risk Contract to 2H Construction (hereafter "CM/Contractor"). CM/Contractor is responsible for bidding and awarding all subsequent subcontractor packages, including this package. The successful Subcontractor Bidder shall sign a Subcontract Agreement directly with CM/Contractor and shall be bound by all the terms of the contract between University and CM/Contractor. Refer to "Project Manual Volume 2" which contains the contract between University and CM/Contractor, attached to the subcontract bidding documents and incorporated by this reference. Anticipated Total Contract Value: $15,800,000 Bid Package #22 - Audio Visual (this contract): This Bid Package consists of new Audio Visual system as shown in plans and specifications. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California current and active contractor's license at the time of submission of the Bid: C-10 Electrical -orC-7 Low Voltage Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University policy. Each Bidder may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the contract between the University and the CM/Contractor and to pay prevailing wage at the location of the work. The work described in the contract is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code. No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
