Renovation of a fire / police facility in Southington, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 221-square-foot, one-story above grade fire / police facility.

This project incorporates a single-prime bidding process. Each bid shall contain the full name and address of each person or company submitting the same and all parties interested therein and shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of either: * A bond in accordance with Division B of Section 153.54, Ohio Revised Code for the full amount of the bid, or; * A certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305, Ohio Revised Code, in accordance with Division C of Section 153.54, Ohio Revised Code equal to ten (10%) of the bid. Bidder to take notice that the form of bond must meet the requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, Sections 153.54 to 153.57. All bids must be signed in ink. Bids of corporations not chartered in Ohio must be accompanied by proper certifications that such corporation is authorized to do work in the State of Ohio. Attention is directed to all bidders that Trumbull County adopted the "New" Drug & Alcohol Free Workplace Policy on September 7, 2016, and the terms of this Policy also apply to any contractors directly reimbursed for service through the Township; a copy of the Policy to be part of the proposal, and that each proposal be accompanied by a "sign-off Sheet" duly signed by the bidder thereof. Attention is also directed to the requirement that each bid must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit duly signed by the bidder, and a Personal Property Delinquent Tax Affidavit duly signed by the bidder - required by Section 5719.042 of the Ohio Revised Code - thereof. No payment shall be made on any contract for which no such affidavit has been submitted. Attention is also directed to all bidders that this notice has been posted on the Township's Internet Site on the worldwide web and found. The Southington Township Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all bids submitted and to waive any informalities or irregularities in any bid received, and to determine the lowest and best bid in accordance with the methods and criteria in the bidding documents. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of at least sixty (60) days after the opening thereof. Work shall not begin prior to the authorization in writing by the Southington Township Trustees. The work to begin upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed will be phased to accommodate the Owner. The contract also requires the contractor to pay prevailing wages in compliance with ORC Chapter 4115; be in compliance with ORC Section 153.59 regarding equal employment opportunity and non-discrimination; and requires the contractor to use Domestic steel in compliance with ORC 153.011.
