Bids will be received by the Onslow Water & Sewer Authority to provide all labor, equipment, and materials, necessary to replace 4 long water service lines with 3/4 " SDR-9 water services as specified in this Request for Bids, as specified in the This is an informal request for bids and the bids received will not be public until the contract is awarded. ONWASA reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to accept any bid which, in the opinion of ONWASA, appears to be in its best interest, or to award this contract in part or in total. The Bidder shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to replace 4 existing long water service lines with 3/4 " SDR-9 water services on a 6" cast iron main at the locations indicated in Exhibit 2. The water services are located between the 6" main line and the meter setters. This work will include installation new of trace wire, 3/4 " corporation stops, 3/4 " meter setters, standard meter boxes and 6" stainless steel saddles for cast iron pipe. Water main is located under NCDOT Highway 50, so the pavement will need to be cut. Upon completion of the new water tap and service line, remove the existing tap using a stainless steel repair clamp and connect new service line to existing meter. Restoration of any asphalt, concrete curb/gutter/sidewalk, road shoulder and landscaping (including resodding) at each site shall also be completed. Work shall be performed in accordance with ONWASA's Manual of Standards, Specifications and Details (MSSD) and the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) Standard Specifications for Road and Structures Sections 1500, 1510 and 1515; except as modified here-in. Contractor will be responsible for all NCDOT encroachments, traffic control and scheduling any water outages with ONWASA. ONWASA will not supply any materials needed for the work.
