UA Gorgas Library is a 7-Story library facility, this project will focus on early demolition for the future fit-up package for the renovation of the mechanical, fire protection, electrical, and telecommunication systems in the building. Future work will include a new thermal piping loop connection, a 1000 SF addition housing new mechanical and fire pumps, new mechanical, fire protection, electrical, and data service distribution, and replacement of the general occupancy air handlers. 1. Work on this phase will include, but not be limited to: a. Asbestos Abatement within project work area. b. Relocation of the sanitary and gas mains in Capstone Drive c. Relocation of site lighting as indicated. d. Limited Demolition including: 1) Removal of the structured flooring in the basement where the new electrical room will be constructed. 2) Removal of stair 07 3) Removal of the ceiling in the first-floor music room e.
