This contract is for the rehabilitation of two 1,000,000 Gallon Ground Storage Tanks at the Westchester Joint Water Works Purchase Street site. The project includes: Blast and paint interior water cavity and exterior surfaces. Weld repairs, lap patch repair plates, and weld scar grinding. Seal welding of roof rafters. Installation of new active mixing systems. Full containment in accordance with CAMP/SSPC Guide 2A requirements. Remove and replace existing tank vents. Remove and replace existing interior ladders and safety climb. Remove and replace existing tank lighting, conduit, and mounting brackets. Blast and paint exterior foundation. Remove and replace insulation on the West Tank's outlet piping. Installation of new mesh screens on overflow piping. Installation of new roof safety climb systems. Installation of new grounding system. Disinfection and water quality testing. Project closeout submittals. Bid Security shall be submitted with each bid in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid. Bid Security may be submitted as either a certified check / bank draft payable to the Westchester Joint Water Works or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and a Surety Company. All such Bid Security will be returned to the respective Bidders within fourteen (14) days after Bids are opened except those which the OWNER elects to hold until the Successful Bidder has executed the Contract. Thereafter, all remaining Bid Security, including the Bid Security of the Successful Bidder, will be returned within seven (7) days of the Contract signing or sixty (60) days after the bid opening, whichever is less.
