A firm timeline for construction has not been disclosed. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Description: Pursuant to Section 287.055, Florida Statutes (the "Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act" or "CCNA"), the Board of County Commissioners, Highlands County, Florida, and the Board of County Commissioners sitting as the Board of Supervisors of various Special Benefit Districts of Highlands County, Florida, is seeking professional Architectural and Engineer services for the design of a multi-phased conceptual Jail Master Plan followed by permit and construction ready design documents required for completing the first phase of the Jail expansion effort for the Highlands County Jail Facility located at 338 South Orange St, Sebring FL 33870. The entire project budget for conceptual design, first phase construction, Furniture Fixtures and Equipment, and all start-up costs cannot exceed $10 million. The construction phase of this project must be 85% complete no later than November 21, 2024. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
