The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: demolition of the existing railroad tie walls throughout the work area, removal of 1,300 CY of native soil, the construction of an up to 5,000 SF Keystone Compac Victorian, geogrid reinforced, segmental retaining wall, or approved equal, construction of an approximately 600 SY porous pavement walking path, installation 550 LF of perforated drainage pipe within the walkway, installation of 525 LF of 4 foot tall PVC-coated chain-link fence, installation of 80 LF of 6 foot tall decorative aluminum fencing in sleeve-its and timber vehicular guardrail, and soil stabilization with top soil, seed, salt hay, and jute netting over a 2,600 SY area. A bid may be withdrawn prior to the time for opening of bids or authorized postponement thereof upon written application of the Bidder who shall be required to produce evidence showing that individual is or represents the principal or principals involved in the bid No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after bids have been opened. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Guarantee in an amount of the lesser of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price or Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00), in the form of a certified check or cashier's check payable to the Borough or a Bid Bond issued by a Surety authorized to transact business in New Jersey and found acceptable by the Borough. Each bid must also be accompanied by the consent of a similarly acceptable Surety, guaranteeing a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond and a one hundred percent (100%) Labor and Material Payment Bond will be furnished upon award of the Contract. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities, deviations or omissions in any or all bids, and to accept such bids and make awards as may be most advantageous to the Borough.
