The City of Somersworth is seeking bids from qualified Contractors to replace an existing culvert on Rocky Hill Road with a concrete box culvert, replace the existing headwalls, replace a section of sewer and water main, install guardrail on either side of the roadway, stabilize side slopes, and restore the roadway surface as detailed in this Request for Bid (RFB). The City of Somersworth requests that mobilization begin by Monday June 27, 2022 with a substantial completion date no later than Friday September 2, 2022 and a final completion date of Monday October 3, 2022. The City of Somersworth reserves the right to award all, none, or portions thereof of the base bid and any potential bid alternatives Bid Bonds/Surety is required to be submitted at the time of Bid in the amount of 5% (minimum) of the bid price and shall be valid for sixty (60) calendar days from the date bids are due. Payment Bond is required to be submitted within ten (10) business days from the date of the Citys Notice of Award in the amount of 100% of the estimated contract price. Performance Bond is required to be submitted within ten (10) business days from the date of the Citys Notice of Award in the amount of 100% of the estimated contract price.
