Site work and paving for a road / highway in Hastings, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project consists of asphalt overlays and mill & fill at various location throughout the county. Bid security for bids over $25,000, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid price, payable to the Barry County Road Commission. Originals of the following are acceptable: bid bond, certified check, cashier's check, or money order. Personal checks are not acceptable. In its sole discretion, the Barry County Road Commission reserves the right to waive any irregularities in any bids, to reject any or all bids, to award any or all parts of the bids to multiple contractors and to accept bids other than the lowest responsible bid. No bid may be withdrawn after the schedule closing time for receiving bids and for a period of 90 days thereafter. Retainage requirements applicable to Public Agency constructions contract (Act 524 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1980, as amended), for bids over $30,000. This work must be completed on or before June 30, 2022 The contractor may begin when weather and temperature conditions meet MDOT specifications for paving All of the work locations will be available as of April 1, 2022 and will be made available earlier in case of good weather
