Invitation for Bids for Cobb Tunnel Sewer Connection for Douglasville - Douglas County Water and Sewer Authority 8763 Hospital Drive Douglasville, Georgia 30134 February 16, 2022 IFB # 254 The Douglasville - Douglas County Water and Sewer Authority (hereafter referred to as the "Authority") is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the performance of the Cobb Tunnel Sewer Connection Project (the "Project"), as more fully described in the Invitation for Bids. The scope of work includes the provision by the Contractor of all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies necessary to complete the work. The Project will be "turn key" and require minimal involvement of Authority personnel. The work to be performed shall include improvements to Blairs Bridge Lift Station consisting of adding a flow meter, motorized plug valves, manual valves, pump header replacement, precast concrete meter vault, replacing a soft start for one pump with a WSA-provided VFD, and associated electrical/control to support the improvements; bypass pumping system operating during lift station improvements; laying approximately 11,600 linear feet of 16-inch HDPE force main; trenchless construction with 36-inch diameter casing; addition of air/vacuum release valves and vaults; 30-inch diameter DIP gravity main into Cobb County Water System sewer tunnel structure; and all associated erosion, sedimentation, and traffic control measures.
