Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Completed plans call for the construction of a stadium; for site work for a stadium; playground / park / athletic field; and playground / park / athletic field.
The Owner intends to award Contracts on or about April 11 th 2022. Any firm that cannot comply with electronic bid submission requirements must contact Josh Henry at (989) 621-3081 / jhenry@miller-davis.com at least 48 hours before bids are due to make alternative arrangements. This project consists of High School Stadium improvements including building new restrooms and a new ticket booth. The existing restrooms and tennis courts are to be demolished. Additionally, there are: landscaping, site lighting, site drainage, main utility connections, fencing and concrete improvements to the main entrance. BID SECURITY: Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of Base Bid(s) shall accompany each Proposal (refer to Section 00 4313). PERFORMANCE BOND AND PAYMENT BOND: All Contractors bidding on Work in excess of $50,000.00 must be bondable and must include in their Proposal the cost for furnishing a Performance Bond and Payment Bond listing Comstock Public Schools as Obligee (refer to Section 00 6100). CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATION STATEMENT: A current Contractor Qualification Statement must be on file with Miller-Davis Company before award of a Contract (refer to Specification Section 00 4513). BIDDERS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: Submission cut off is 12:00pm February 21st, 2022. (refer to Section 00 4300). All Bids must remain valid for acceptance by the Owner for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the Date of the Bid opening. The Owner shall not award to a Bidder that does not furnish a sworn and notarized Familial Statement of Disclosure (refer to Section 00 4318) and an Iran Economic Sanctions Certification (refer to Section 00 4320). The Owner expressly reserves the right, within the Owner's sole discretion and in compliance with applicable laws, to reject any or all Bids, to accept any Bid, to waive any irregularities or informalities, to withhold the award for any reason the Owner determines, and/or to take any other appropriate action.
