Renovation of a water / sewer project in Roanoke, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The project scope includes, but is not limited to, the following major work items: Improvements to the plant water system, including upsizing of existing piping, extension of the plant water system, replacement of yard hydrants with water cannons at the Peak Flow Storage Basin (PFSB), and replacement of manhole in the vicinity of the PFSB. Installation of one adsorptive dry-media odor control system at Aeration Basin (AB) 1 and AB2, and one adsorptive dry-media odor control system at AB3. Repair of structural cracks and application of corrosion-resistant coating system to AB1 and AB2 influent channels and lining adjacent nearby plant drain manholes in the vicinity of AB2. Installation of aluminum cover plates at the AB1, AB2, and AB3 influent channels, and installation of a manufactured aluminum cover system at the AB3 recirculation pumping structure. Installation of a redundant foul air blower at the Bioscrubber system. To enter the Denton Creek Regional Wastewater System Treatment Plant, there are new Authorized Entry List procedures: Anyone wanting to attend the Pre-Bid Conference must give 24 hours prior notice to Andrew Moore, mooreaf@trinityra.org, 817-430-4657 (the plant main number), providing name, company representing, purpose (Pre-Bid Conference), and time of arrival. Directions for the Pre-Bid Conference: Call 24 hours ahead of meeting as mentioned above, then enter the treatment plant by showing ID to security guard. Indicate to security guard desire to reach the Administration Building and enter the plant using the main entry gate. The Administration Building is on the left after entering the facility. Park in any designated parking space. Proceed to sign in at the front desk and continue to the Conference Room. DIRECT ALL QUESTIONS REGARDING DISTRIBUTION OR DESIGN of Contract Documents for this project to Lynsy Varner, 214-631-6100, lvarner@plummer.com Proposals shall be accompanied by either a Bid Bond or certified check upon a national or state bank in an amount not less than 5% of the total maximum bid price, payable without recourse to the Trinity River Authority of Texas as a guarantee that the bidder will, within 10 days after notice of award, enter into a Contract and furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond upon the forms provided, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price, from a surety licensed to conduct business in Texas and named in the current "List of Certified Companies" as published in Circular 570 (amended) by the Audit Staff Bureau of Accounts, U.S. Treasury Department. The surety for the Performance Bond and Payment Bond shall have an "A" minimum rating of performance and a financial rating strength of five times the Contract Price, all as stated in the current "Best's Key Rating Guide, Property-Casualty." Each Bond shall be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the Bond. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any immaterial formalities on inconsistencies in its sole judgment. Award shall be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder; however, the Authority reserves the right, after evaluation of all bids received, to make no recommendation to its Board of Directors regarding the award of any bid in the event non-responsive, non-conforming, or otherwise unacceptable bids are received, or if budgetary constraints or other unanticipated factors exist. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of 60 days from the date bids are opened.
