Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Canton, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Contractor shall construct 845 linear feet more or less of SDR 17 PVC Water Main with associated valves, fittings, connections to existing service laterals and water mains, and related appurtenances plus all associated work shown on the design drawings. Contractor will coordinate a partial closure of SR 0014 in order to construct water main across SR 0014 by open trench and sleeve method, to replace existing hydrant near intersection of SR 0014 and Trippe St., and to complete service transfer from existing water main to newly constructed water main. Contractor will backfill all openings with in PennDOT ROW with Flowable Backfill as required by Highway Occupancy Permit (HOP). Contractor will restore all PennDOT facilities in accordance with all applicable PennDOT standards and adhere to all Conditions of the HOP. Contractor shall install E&S measures, protect existing utilities, control traffic, demolish and remove existing driveways, sidewalks, and trees as necessary, and properly dispose of the remainder. Restore roads, driveways, and sidewalks along the proposed new water line alignment as indicated, including grading, subgrade placement and compaction, and paving where required. Set traffic control signage, perform all necessary incidental work, and provide all necessary appurtenances to retore the site to its original condition. Bidders must provide with their Proposal (or Bid) either a certified bank treasurer's check, or a certified cashier's check payable to the order of Canton Borough Authority, or a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid. Bidders must also provide with their Proposal a fully completed Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Public Works Employment Verification Form. The two apparent low bidders will be required after bids are opened to provide proof of prior experience and adequate resources to complete the project. The successful low bidder will be required to furnish fully executed original Proposal (or Bid) forms. Failure to fully comply with all bid requirements including, but not limited to, the above will be cause to reject a bid. Bidders are advised that PA Prevailing Minimum Wage Rates must be paid to workers employed on this project and are incorporated in the Contract Documents. These wage rate requirements are applicable to this contract for the entire duration of this project. The Borough may hold all Bids and they shall remain irrevocable for 60 days from the date of opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and verifying the qualifications of the Bidders prior to awarding the contract. The Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive any informalities or irregularities, or negotiate contract amounts. The successful Contractors will be required to furnish upon Contract Award a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond; each for one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price as bid. Achieve Final Completion within One-Hundred and Sixty (160) calendar days of Notice to Proceed. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 3/17/2022 4:00 PM
