HVAC Construction Bid envelope shall be sealed and clearly marked Bid For: Montour County Jail HVAC Upgrades, submitted with due date and time. Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud immediately thereafter. Bid security shall be: A certified check or bank draft payable to the order of Montour County, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid. The Bidder shall include the fully completed Non-Collusion Affidavit with the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a Performance Bond and Labor & Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of one-hundred percent of the Base Bid. The cost of these bonds shall be included as part of the base bid price. No individual sureties will be allowed. Surety must be licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Bids may be held by Montour County for up to 60 days from the date of opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract.
