Two contracts were awarded for this project, one to Sylvester Roofing Company, Inc. (Painted Rock Elementary) and Chambers, Inc. / dba Roof Construction (Highland Ranch Elementary, Park Village Elementary, and Twin peaks Middle School). Summer Roof and Paint Project Notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of the POWAY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT (District), acting by and through its governing board, will receive sealed bids for the furnishing of all labor, materials, transportation, equipment, and services for the BID 2022-22 / SUMMER ROOF AND PAINT PROJECT. The project will be for work performed at four school sites within the District (Highland Ranch Elementary School, Painted Rock Elementary School, Park Village Elementary School and Twin Peaks Middle School). Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professional Code and shall be licensed in the following classifications: C-39 Roofing Contractor for roofing only projects, Class B License and C-39 Roofing Contractor for roof and paint projects. Each Bidder shall also have no less than five (5) years of experience in the magnitude and character of the work bid. WAGES: The Director of the Department of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this public work is to be performed for each craft, classification, or type of worker needed to execute the contract. Wage rates can be found at the California Department of Industrial Relations web site at http://www.dir.ca.gov/DLSR/. Each bid shall be submitted on the bid form provided in the bid documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and surety company, or certified check, or cashiers check in favor of the POWAY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid. Said Bid Bond shall be given to guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract as specified, within three (3) working days after the notification of the award of the contract to bidder. Payment and Performance Bonds shall be required. The Performance Bond and the Payment Bond shall be for one hundred percent (100%) of the Total Bid Price.
