The City of Bettendorf, Iowa, is currently requesting proposals from qualified Contractors to install annual flowers in and around City Parks, City right-of-ways, and facilities, as specified. All annual flowers are being provided by the City of Bettendorf and must be picked up at a garden center located within City limits. The contract planting period will begin April 25, 2022 and will run until June 24, 2022, weather depending. A one-year contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. Failure to submit all required documents will disqualify the proposal as being non-responsive. If at any time during the contract period the City determines that service is unsatisfactory, the City reserves the right to cancel the contract. Contractor will be notified of such action in writing and the cancellation will be effective immediately. If cancellation of services is made, the City will offer other contractors the opportunity to provide the described services at their original proposal price. Inquiries regarding the scope of services described or the requirements of this RFP are to be made in writing to Jason Manfull, Parks Maintenance Supervisor, at jmanfull@bettendorf.org. The request must contain the contractor name, contact person, address, phone number and email. Be advised that any conversations (in reference to this proposal) between bidders and any City employee, City official or City Project Manager, outside of the Public Works Department, during the entire competitive bidding process is strictly prohibited. Such actions will result in removal of the vendor from the bidders list and rejection of the vendor's bid. The ONLY official position of the City is that position which is stated in writing and issued by the Public Works Department. No other means of communication, whether written or oral, shall be construed as a formal or official response statement.
