The Town of Wise, Virginia is accepting sealed bids from qualified vendors for striping of various roads. The successful bidder must furnish all equipment, labor, and materials to mark streets as directed by the Town. All pavement markings shall be installed in accordance with latest standards for permanent marking as specified in the Virginia Department of Transportation Handbook on Road & Bridge Specifications. The Town plans to mark approximately 114,000 LF with yellow paint and 108,360 LF with white paint. In addition, bidders are requested to include pricing for marking of turn arrows, stop bars, cross walks, words, and parking spaces. The Town may elect to award a contract for all of the "Additive Bid Items", some of the "Additive Bid Items", or none of the "Additive Bid Items". Upon paving contractor completion of all asphalt overlays, pavement marking shall commence within 72 hours of a notice to proceed or as soon thereafter as weather permits. All pavement striping must be completed by June 30, 2022. The Town of Wise reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities if it appears in the best interests of the Town to do so.
