Renovation of a mixed-use development in Worcester, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and office development.

The project includes the renovation of approximately 1,700 square feet of interior space within the UMass Chan Medical School Building to create a new office suite. Work will include selective demolition. New work includes framing, drywall and insulation, carpet tile, acoustical tile ceilings, painting, wood doors and metal frames. HVAC work includes new VAV boxes and air distribution. New power and lighting will be distributed throughout the space. Sprinkler relocations are also included in this work. Estimated Cost: $225000 Bidders must be DCAMM Prime certified in General Construction Each general bid proposal must be secured by an accompanying deposit of 5% of total bid amount in the form of a bid bond or certified or treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company payable to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Each proposal must be enclosed in a sealed envelope clearly endorsed with the name and address of the bidder, project number, contract number and title. All bids for this project are subject to the provisions of either or both Mass. G.L., Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended and Mass. G.L., Chapter 149, Section 44A - 44J inclusive. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any and all bids if it were in the public interest to do so Substantial Completion- 80 days ; Final Acceptance within 30 days after the date specified for Substantial Completion.
