A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid or an annual bid bond is required prior to bid opening. The work order on this project shall be issued 20 (twenty) calendar days after the date on which the contract for this project has been awarded to the successful bidder. All work on this project must be completed within 110 (onehundred ten) working Days. Working days will be charged as provided for in the Standard Specifications, once the work order is issued. The non-availability of material shall not prevent working days from being assessed. Project must be finished by the completion date. Project schedule must prioritize completion and the continuity of work in front of the Cargill facility between 13th St N and 15th St N. and complete this area within 90 Working Days. Liquidated Damages in the amount of $1,000.00 per day will be assessed for not meeting this deadline. The City reserves the right to refuse to award the project to a prospective bidder if the bidder is in default for any of the following reasons: a. Failure to comply with any prequalification regulations of the City, if such regulations are cited, or otherwise included, in the proposal as a requirement for bidding. b. Failure to pay, or satisfactorily settle, all bills due for labor and materials on former contracts in force with the City at the time the City issues the proposal to a prospective bidder. c. Documented record of Contractor default under previous contracts with the City. d. Documented record of unsatisfactory work on previous contracts with the City
