Renovation of a mixed-use development in Lawrence Township, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Neither the Owner, nor the Architect will assume any responsibility for Bids mailed or misdirected in delivery. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days from the opening of the bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informality in the bidding process in accordance with the law, if it is in the best interest of the Owner, as permitted by law. The Contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements. No bid shall be deemed accepted until the adoption of a formal resolution by the Owner. Should you have any questions, please contact the Architect's office at 609-695-7400. All bidders must use and complete all bid forms provided in the manner designated and must comply with every requirement contained in the instructions and specifications. In addition, and pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25, each bid must be accompanied by a certificate from a surety company stating it will provide said bidder with bonds in such sums as required by the statute and the Bidding Documents. Due to the special nature of the work involved that can only be seen by an in-depth visitation, the attendance of all the bidders is requested and STRONGLY ENCOURAGED as an integral and important element of the bidding process so that all bidders have an equal understanding of the scope of work involved. The Bidder shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction in one of the following trades: C008 General Construction or C009 General Construction/Alteration or C011 Doors and Hardware Subcontractors named in the Form of Bid Proposal for Structural Steel, Plumbing, Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning, and/or Electric, who perform any work on the Project must be prequalified prior to the submission of bids, pursuant to the State of New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction DPMC. Bidders are required to comply with requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-1 et seq., "The Law Against Discrimination" and affirmative action, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.AC. 17:27-1 et seq. All bidders and their subcontractors shall be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. All bids must be accompanied by a Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act to the Bidder and all subcontractors. Pursuant to P.L. 2009, c.315 and/or N.J.S.A. 52:32-44, all bidders and their subcontractors must provide proof of their New Jersey Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue prior to award. Prospective Bidders are advised that this Project is subject to Prevailing Wage Rates N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.27; Use of Domestic Materials, N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-20, including any amendments and supplements thereto; N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2, disclosing names and addresses for any individual owning 10% or more; N.J.S.A. 52:32-55 et. seq., Disclosure of Investment Activities in Iran; and N.J.S.A. 52:34-15, regarding non-collusion.
