The City of Murfreesboro is accepting sealed bids for McFadden Basketball Court Project The purpose of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) is to install fencing around the basketball court at the McFadden Community Center at 211 Bridge Avenue, Murfreesboro, TN. The work under this contract consists of furnishing and installing all materials for the installation of a fence around the McFadden Community Center basketball court and other items as outlined in this section. The work will begin after Notice to Proceed is given, following the completion of a concrete slab installation. Prior to the start of the work, the Contractor shall submit to the Owner for approval the name of the manufacturer and types of material to be used to complete the various items of work The Fencing Installation work shall consist of the following major items: 1. All fencing to be black vinyl coated chain 6-gauge core 5-gauge finish. Fused and bonded. Fencing material shall also include all post caps, loop caps, rail ends, tension bars, and brace bands. Gate hardware to include latches and any other hardware and material items needed for installation. 2. Ends a. Two (2) - 71' x 8' (142 linear feet of 8' fence) b. 3" x 11' x 40 weight end post c. 2" x 11' x 40 weight line post d. 1-5/8" 40 weight rail e. Top, middle, and bottom rails with two (2) intermediate rails for a total of 5 rails: 1-5/8" x 40 weight 3. Sides a. Two (2) - 116' x 4' (232 linear feet of 4' fence) b. 3" x 11' x 40 weight end post c. 2" x 11' x 40 weight line post d. Top, middle, and bottom rail: 1-5/8" x 40 weight e. Two (2) 4' wide swing gates to be installed in the middle of each side (2" x 40 weight frame)
