EDGE Participation Goal 5% The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission ("OFCC") is seeking qualified Design/Build teams to provide professional design services for the design, construction, and construction administration of Fire Alarm system replacement and modernization at the Southeastern Correctional Institution in Lancaster, Ohio. Submit all questions regarding this RFQ in writing to Procurement at procurement@ofcc.ohio.gov The Contracting Authority reserves the right to reject all proposals and cancel at any time for any reason this solicitation, any portion of this solicitation or any phase of the Project. The Contracting Authority shall have no liability to any proposer arising out of such cancellation or rejection. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to waive minor variations in the selection process. The existing Institution is comprised of a total of approximately 23 buildings with 16 buildings located inside of the institution security fence with an additional 7 buildings located outside the fence. Not all existing buildings are currently protected with fire alarm systems. The buildings that currently have fire alarm systems installed utilize Simplex 4100U Series Panels and components. Replace existing Fire Alarm System and provide new Fire Alarm System throughout Institution 1. The scope of this project is to design and install a complete institution fire alarm system upgrade including but not limited to: a. Design and installation of 12-strand single mode fiber loop(s) for fire alarm system. Fiber loop(s) shall terminate in existing Technology building outside of secure perimeter. b. Design and installation of a new graphic command center for supervision new fire alarm systems installed under this contract. c. Design and installation of a constructible solution to supervise the existing fire alarm systems in the Water Treatment Plant, Powerhouse and Wastewater Treatment Plant. d. Design and installation of a constructible solution to replace existing Simplex fire alarm systems with new code compliant fire alarm systems and provide new systems in building currently without existing fire alarm systems. Additionally, other work should be anticipated as investigation, assessment and the POR is completed. Work could include demolition, excavation, concrete, masonry, finishes, doors and hardware, security, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection sprinkler, electrical as needed and as may be encountered in design and construction of the scope listed above
