The work for which bids are asked includes the following: 1. Removal of existing manual bar rack, existing automated fine screen, associated plumbing, associated concrete removal, and associated electrical work in the Headworks Building. 2. Removal of the existing Parshall flume in the Headworks Building. 3. Removal of existing HVAC units serving Headworks Building. 4. Removal of existing chemical feed pumps in Control Building. 5. Removal of existing Decant Pumps and piping in Decant Pump Station. 6. Removal of the existing PLCs in the existing control system. 7. Removal of existing automated slide gates, actuators, and associated electrical work in the SBR tanks. 8. Replace SBR aerator diffuser sleeves furnished by Owner. 9. Removal of existing standby power generator, transfer switch, and associated electrical work. 10. Removal of existing Motor Control Centers and Control Panel in Headworks electrical room. 11. Removal of existing asphalt drive and parking areas. 12. Provide new automated fine screen, screenings screw wash press, associated channel modifications, associated plumbing, and associated electrical work. 13. Provide new Parshall flume in existing Headworks Building. 14. Provide new HVAC units, associated ducting, and associated electrical work for Headworks Building. 15. Provide new chemical feed pumps and associated chemical tubing. 16. Provide new Ortho-P analyzer and associated electrical and controls work. 17. Provide new decant/sludge transfer pumps, associated piping, and associated electrical work in the existing Decant Pump Station. 18. Provide new automated valves, actuators, and associated electrical work in the existing SBR tanks. 19. Provide VFDs and associated electrical work for aeration blowers for SBR process. 20. Provide new control system software and programming for SBR process. 21. Construction of a new sludge storage tank, cover, and concrete base complete with mixing system, piping and appurtenances. 22. Construction of a new sludge pump building, base slab, piping, mixing pump, sludge load-out piping, associated electrical, associated mechanical, and associated plumbing. 23. Provide new Motor Control Center and Control Panel in Headworks electrical room. 24. Provide new standby power generator for facility, transfer switch, and associated electrical work. 25. Provide new asphalt driveway, new asphalt parking areas, site work, and yard piping. The anticipated substantial completion date is October 13, 2023 and final completion date is November 17, 2023. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the OWNER as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. BIDDER is required to deliver the original certified check or bid bond within the 72 hours of bid opening to MSA Professional Services, Inc., Attn: Tom Dye, 60 Plato Boulevard East, Suite 140, St. Paul, MN 55107-1835. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages. No bid may be withdraw within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
