As of July 7, 2023, an engineer has been awarded and this project is in the design phase. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City Colleges of Chicago hereby requests Letters of Interest and Statements of Qualifications from the pre-qualified firms to provide architectural services to replace the roofs at Olive-Harvey College main building and at the satellite campus, South Chicago Learning Center. Project 1: Main building - Olive-Harvey College, 10001 S. Woodlawn Ave, Chicago, IL: Existing 3-story, 397,000 sq. ft., flat roof building with mechanical penthouse. Roof is approximately 100,000 sq. ft., existing membrane is over 20 years old. New membrane to accommodate future solar panels Project 2: Satellite campus - South Chicago Learning Center, 3055 E. 92nd St., Chicago, IL: Existing 1-story, 15,460 sq. ft, flat roof building, Roof is approximately 15,640 sq. ft, existing membrane is over 20 years old. Only the pre-qualified Architectural and Engineering firms approved by the Board of Trustees of City Colleges of Chicago can participate in this request for LOIs process.
