This project consists of the removal and replacement of 1016 radio read water mater endpoints with cellular read endpoints. New endpoints, splice kits, and meter pit lids to be provided by the Village of Clayton with all necessary materials, equipment, and labor to be provided by the bidder. Endpoints to be installed per manufacture specifications and recommendations. Training on proper endpoint installation to be provided by the manufacture at no charge to contactor. Installation requires access to private property and may require work during off hours. Customer contact information to be provided to the contractor with contractor responsible for all scheduling. Contractor shall be required to provide no less than 48 notice to customer. Contractor shall be required to provide listing identifying the serial number of endpoints installed at applicable service address. Bids will be received for the following Contract: Contract No. 1 - Endpoint Installation - Base Bid This project consists of removing a total 1016 existing water meter radio read endpoints and replacing them with cellular read endpoints per the associated specifications. Installation requires access to private residences with 1004 endpoints located inside and 12 endpoints located within meter pits. Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. The Village of Clayton is tax exempt, and Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the work and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the Village of Clayton prior to incorporation into the work of the Contract. The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all Bids. The Contractor shall be responsible to obtain for himself, at his cost, any and all information required for the preparation of his bid. In addition to the pre-bid site visit, access to the site can be obtained by appointment.
