Washington County Campus Asphalt Replacement The asphalt replacement projects are located at the Public Agency Center and Government Center on the Washington County Campus located in the City of West Bend and the Washington County Fair Park grounds, located in the Town of Polk. Work includes pulverization or milling of existing asphalt, removal of excess material, drain tile, grading and establishing the base, placing new asphalt & paint striping. Unit Pricing shall be itemized for over-excavating, installation of geogrid, erosion control and traffic control. The grounds are open 7 days a week for contractors to visit the site on their own. Access to the Wilson Ave Lot and Sheriff Lot is restricted and visitors will need to be let in by sheriff staff. To enter, drive up to the gate at either the Wilson Ave gate or the Schmidt Road gate and press the button to speak with dispatch. State your business and you should be granted access. All activities are monitored at all times in these lots. The projects have specific completion dates: -The Washington County Fair Park lots shall be completed by July 9, 2022. -The PAC and Sheriff lots shall be completed by July 22, 2022. -The Wilson Ave lot shall be completed by September 30, 2022 Construction time is of the essence. Completion delays are subject to liquidated damages. All bidders shall be experienced in this type of work and will need complete and submit a Bidderis Statement of Qualifications in order to be pre-qualified with Washington County for this work. This completed form shall be received no later than 5 days prior to the bid opening. The Bidders Qualification Form is included in the bid document for this project. Bids shall be prepared in accordance with contract documents and associated plans prepared for this project by Washington County. Award made for this project will be to a single prime contractor and partial bids will not be accepted. Bid security shall be by a qualified surety in the form of a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount, and shall be submitted with the bid. Failure to submit the required bid security as part of the firmis sealed bid will result in immediate rejection of the firm's bid. Accepted bidder will also be required to furnish in the amount of 100% of the contract price, satisfactory Performance/Payment Bond and an acceptable Certificate of Insurance as well. Washington County reserves the right to waive any informalities or technicalities and to reject any and all bids or parts thereof deemed to be unsatisfactory or not in the County's best interest.
