The South 14 th Street Resurfacing Project V-2021 consists of asphalt resurfacing/overlay of South 14 th Street from Highway 30/67 to 14 th Avenue South. In addition to hot mix asphalt surfacing over the existing concrete street, the project will contain ADA compliant sidewalk construction, concrete patching, manhole and water valve adjustments, traffic control, earthwork, and other associated appurtenances. The project will also include re-striping South 14 th Street from Highway 30/67 to South Bluff Blvd as a three-lane roadway with a center left turn lane. Existing pavement markings will be removed between 14 th Avenue South and South Bluff Boulevard. The late start date shall be July 1, 2022. Each successful Bidder will be required to furnish a corporate Surety Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of its Contract price. Said Bond shall be issued by a responsible Surety approved by the City of Clinton and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the Contract and the terms and conditions therein contained and shall guarantee the prompt payment of all material and labor, and protect and save harmless the City of Clinton from claims and damages of any kind caused by the operations of the Contract and shall also guarantee the maintenance of the improvement caused by failures in materials and construction for a period of two (2) years from and after acceptance of the Contract. The City of Clinton does hereby reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract, or contracts, as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City.
