2022 Sidewalk Replacement Project. Replacement of sidewalks in areas on nine city streets and related work. The City of Holyoke is seeking sealed bids from qualified contractors for Sidewalk replacement in areas on nine (9) roadways Completion- December 31, 2022. The work under this contract shall include furnishing the necessary labor, transportation, tools, equipment, materials, and appurtenances to demolish, remove and replace specified sidewalks on various sidewalks in the City of Holyoke, at various locations on the following streets; Brown Avenue, Clark Street, Gilman Street, Highland Avenue, Jefferson Street, Princeton Street, Vadnais Street, Westfield Road and Wykoff Avenue as presented on the plans in the Appendix and as determined by the City Engineer. All sidewalks shall be replaced with cement concrete unless otherwise specified by the City Engineer. The Cityreserves the right to alter limits of sidewalk replacement depending of bid prices received and available funding. Major facets of the project include the following: (1) Demolition, removal, and proper disposal of existing concrete and HMA sidewalks; (2) Removal and disposal or resetting of granite curb and concrete curb; (3) Installation of new cement concrete sidewalks, concrete driveways, tree and stump removal and concrete wheelchair ramps with ADA compliant detectable warning pads. This project will include the replacement of all driveway aprons with cement concrete as well as any sidewalk connections to the roadway curb in front of properties unless otherwise specified by the City Engineer.
