The Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is seeking painting services at its Hopland Fire Station, located in Mendocino County. Contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, fees, and all other services necessary, to provide the following services: - Clean, prep, and paint the outside of all buildings located at the site; - Include all walls, trim, gutters/downspouts, and doors (excluding any large roll-up doors) on all buildings. Gas house building shall only have the door, trim, gutters, and downspouts painted. - Always have a minimum one (1) door into each building accessible. Both large roll-up doors on the apparatus bay must always be accessible. - Cover, mask, and protect all windows, roofs, sidewalks, driveways, and all other areas not requiring paint. - Scrape and sand all loose paint, caulk and path, and spot-prime all buildings and trim, as necessary. - Pressure wash and clean all metal buildings before being primed and painted. Prep all metal buildings and surfaces so that primer will adhere to all surfaces properly. All buildings shall be primed in their entirety using a primer designated for metal or wood surfaces, as applicable. - Apply two (2) coats of finish paint by spray, and back roll or brush, where necessary, to all building surfaces using a paint designed for metal or wood surfaces, as applicable; exception being the generator and gas house building. Paint grade shall be Benjamin Moore – Ultra Spec/Low Sheen, or equivalent. Color shall be equivalent to BEHR Library of Alexandria; sample may be obtained from CAL FIRE. Contractor shall obtain CAL FIRE prior approval of brand and color. - Apply two (2) coats of finish paint by spray, and back roll or brush, where necessary, to all trim, gutters, downspouts, and doors (excluding large roll-up doors) using a paint designed for metal or wood surfaces, as applicable; exception being the generator and gas house building. Paint grade shall be Benjamin Moore – Ultra Spec/Low Sheen, or equivalent. Color shall be equivalent to BEHR Augustus Blue; sample may be obtained from CAL FIRE. Contractor shall obtain CAL FIRE prior approval of brand and color. The Prime Bidder must be a licensed contractor with the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB), with an active C-33 Painting and Decorating Contractor license. Proof of current licensing must be submitted with bid packages.
