Renovation of a power facility in Jacksonville, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
The purpose of this Request for Proposals (this "RFP") is to evaluate and select a vendor that can provide Design-Build Services for a biomass feed system to convey 240 tons of biomass per day at a rate of 50 TPH to the head chute of BC-08 in transfer building 6. - Provide one (1) open top steel container approximately 8' high and 8' wide and a minimum 20-foot long with individually driven screws. The drives and screws shall be sized to feed hog fuel or shredded tires at a rate of 50 TPH. The design density shall be 14 - 35 PCF. The drives shall be 480/60/3. The drives shall be designed to operate with the container heaped full. - Provide one (1) elevating conveyor mated to the discharge of the feed container with a bolted flange. - Provide one (1) horizontal belt conveyor approximately 10 feet long. The length shall be determined to place the drive and head end of the elevating conveyor outside the sheeting line of TB-6. - Provide a single NEMA 4 stainless steel control cabinet for all the motor drives, terminal strips and zero speed sensors. - Provide a deluge system for the conveyors and container Delivery shall be to JEA, Northside Generating Station, 4377 Heckscher Drive, Jacksonville, Florida 32226.
