Site work for a development in Mount Vernon, Washington. Conceptual plans call for site work for a development.
The Department of Natural Resources is seeking a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) from A/E consulting firms related to restoration on Cypress Island. The subject property, located in Strawberry Bay, was recently acquired by DNR for inclusion into the Cypress Island Natural Resources Conservation Area. Key features include approximately 1000 feet of DNR-managed shoreline and several acres of tidally-influenced wetland. There are two buildings (one house dating to 1907, one small cabin dating to 1967), one in-ground swimming pool, and associated incidental infrastructure on the property, all requiring removal. We envision a scope of work for this contract including, but not necessarily limited to assessment, feasibility, design, engineering, permitting, and construction oversight for all phases of the eventual demolition and restoration work. More information about the project, and about A/E firm selection, is available electronically. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
