Site work and paving for a civil project in Del Rio, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.

Several items and quantities of work are as follows: 1. Continuously reinforced concrete pavement of approximately three - thousand one-hundred and eighty-eight (3,188) square yards; 2. Place concrete riprap of approximately one - hundred and fifty - five (155) cubic yards; 3. Replace chain link fencing of approximately one - thousand five - hundred and thirty - five (1,535) linear feet; 4. Install illumination poles, bases, and electrical service controls of approximately ten (10) each, 5. Various other items to complete the project. A bid bond in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Del Rio or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis- Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, age or national origin. No oral interpretations will be made to any bidder. Each request for an interpretation shall be made in writing to the City of Del Rio via e-mail to Purchasing Agent Luis Menchaca at Luis.Menchaca@cityofdelrio.com no less than seven (7) days prior to the bid opening. Each interpretation made will be in the form of an Addendum to the contract documents and will be distributed to all parties holding contract documents no less than five (5) days prior to the bid opening. It is, however, the bidder's responsibility to make inquiry as to any addenda issued. All such addenda shall become part of the contract documents and all bidders shall be bound by such addenda, whether or not received by the bidders. Bids may be held by the City of Del Rio for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders' qualifications prior to the contract award. The City of Del Rio reserves the right to waive or reject any and all bids, or any and all irregularities in the said bid, in order to accept the offer considered to be the most advantageous to the City of Del Rio, and/or to decline all offers.
