Renovation of a water / sewer project in Sunnyvale, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Project related questions shall be submitted in writing no later than 5:00 pm on March 11, 2022. Project Manager: Rick Zohne, P.E.; 214-948-4575 M/WBE goals- Construction 32% The work is located at and along the southern edge of Lake Ray Hubbard near the following address 314 Gloria Rd, Sunnyvale, TX 75182. The facilities included in this project are Lake Ray Hubbard Intake, Forney Pump Station, and Forney Dam Work for the dam consists of the fabrication of eleven (11) new Bulkheads (Stoplogs) and one new Lifting Beam to be used for de-watering the spillway Tainter Gates during maintenance and routine exercises. Scope includes the following. 1. Fabricate: nine (9) Main Bulkheads, two (2) Bottom Bulkheads, and one (1) Lifting Beam shall be built of steel with completed weights of approximately 11,600 lbs and 9,900 lbs, and 2,200 lbs, respectively. 2. Prepare and Paint: Steel shall be painted using a high-performance coating guaranteed for 2 years under normal wear and typical site conditions. 3. Deliver to the Site: Bulkheads and Lifting Beam to be delivered to the site for test installation. 4. Test: Bulkheads shall be placed into slots for dry fit testing Gate #3 followed by Gate #2. Bottom bulkheads shall be wet fit in each of the twelve (12) other gates. 5. Store: Bulkheads shall be stored in-place in Gate #2 upon completion of testing. 6. Dispose: Properly dispose the existing lifting beam and bulkheads. The existing bulkheads and lifting beam may have lead paint in the coating system. CONTRACTOR shall assure that the existing bulkheads and lifting beam are properly handled and disposed of at an authorized disposal or recycling facility. CONTRACTOR shall provide OWNER with fully-executed chain-of-custody documentation for handling and disposal. Work covered by Contract Documents: The completed Work will provide Owner with various raw water facility improvements located at the Lake Ray Hubbard intake, Forney pump station, and Forney Dam. More specifically, the Project includes, but is not limited to, construction of the following: 1. Dam Rehabilitation and Improvements a. Repairs spalled concrete in ogee section of Bay 13 b. Installs hard-wired communications to the drainage gallery c. Installs ventilation improvements to the drainage gallery d. Installs oxygen monitoring system of drainage gallery e. Installs survey monuments on the exterior top of the dam f. Replaces Forney dam road g. Rehabilitates piezometers h. Provides remote monitoring of dam tailwater level and groundwater level i. Provides a secondary measurement of lake level with remote monitoring j. Repairs tainter gate hoist machinery platforms k. Repairs cracking on structural member of Tainter Gate No. 6 l. Installs monorail to install and remove the tainter gate stoplogs m. Installs stoplog storage building n. Provides security, lighting, and fencing improvements near and around the spillway o. Provides tainter gate stop log (bulkheads) set for isolation of maintenance of existing tainter gates 2. Lake Ray Hubbard Intake a. Demolishes existing intake screens, washwater pumps, and ancillary piping b. Demolishes existing slide gates and operators c. Demolishes existing exhaust fan, intake, and ductwork d. Removes silt accumulation around the intake e. Installs intake screens, washwater pumps, and ancillary piping f. Installs slide gates and operators g. Installs jib cranes and associated concrete structure h. Provides new cantilevered platform for electrical panels i. Installs power distribution equipment j. Installs supply fan, exhaust fan, and ductwork k. Installs security camera with remote monitoring l. Installs new water quality profiler and sonde m. Provides general instrumentation and control improvements for intake equipment 3. Forney Pump Station a. Demolishes raw water pumps Nos. 1, 2, & 3 along with motors b. Demolishes raw water pump butterfly valves, gate valves, and check valves c. Demolishes dewatering pump and ancillary piping d. Demolishes chlorine water supply pumps and ancillary piping e. Demolishes fire pumps and ancillary piping f. Demolishes sump pump and ancillary piping g. Demolishes handrailing on mezzanine h. Demolishes lighting fixtures QA Date March 18, 2022 at 5:00 PM CST
