LEGAL NOTICE VAN WERT COUNTY TOWNSHIP VARIO US ROADS RESURFACING PROJECT ASPHALT CONCRETE RESURFACE BID NOTICE Sealed bids will be received by the Van Wert County Commissioners until 10:00 o'clock A.M .. , local time, on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at the Van Wert County Commissioners Office, 114 East Main Street, Suite 200, Courthouse Annex, Van Wert, Ohio 45891 for resurfacing approximately 23.0 miles of two (2) lane roadway, various widths from 15' to 20' wide with 1.5" ofasphalt concrete 448 types 1 & 2 including tack coat on various roads in Van Wert County, Ohio as per specification documents. The contract will be awarded on a unit price for an estimated 20,000 tons of asphalt concrete 448 types 1 & 2, and tack coat as required within the specifications, hauled, placed and rolled by the contractor. Plans, specifications, and bid documents may be obtained from the Van Wert County Engineer's Office, 1192 Grill Rd., Van Wert, Ohio. Bids must be accompa- nied by a bid bond in the form ofa certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid [ORC 153.54 (A2)] -or- a combination bid/performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid [ORC 153.54 (Al)]. When a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit is used as a bid bond it will be conditioned that upon contract award the contractor will furnish a performance bond in the amount of one hundred (100%) percent of the contract [ORC 153.54 (C)]. The Van Wert County Commissioners/ Trustees will open bids on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 10:00 AM., local time at the location previously listed above.
