Site work for a road / highway in Gardena, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Bids are required for the entire work as described below: Removal and replacement of curbs, gutters, sidewalks, trees, driveways, PCC pavement, etc. The time of completion of contract shall be [40] working days as defined in the latest Standard Specifications for Public Works . Liquidated Damages, as defined in Section 6-9, shall be [$1,000] per each consecutive calendar day. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a faithful performance bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price, and a payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price, both in a form satisfactory to the City Attorney. The contractor shall have an active Class A or C-8 license from the Contractor's State License Board at the time of submitting bid. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid received and to be the sole judge of the merits of the respective bids received. The award, if made, will be made to the lowest responsive responsible bidder.
