Written Question Submittal 03/03/2022 12:00 p.m Payment Bond Requirement: If the total contract price exceeds $25,000, Contractor shall furnish a Payment Bond for not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount payable by the terms of this Agreement. This Agreement will commence on April 15, 2022 (estimate) or upon approval by Caltrans, whichever is later, and no work shall begin before that time. This Agreement is of no effect unless approved by Caltrans. Contractor shall not receive payment for work performed prior to approval of the Agreement and before receipt of notice to proceed by Caltrans Contract Manager. This Agreement shall expire on December 31, 2022 (estimate) As required by Executive Order S-02-06, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is committed to meeting the State’s 25 percent (25%) Small Business (SB) participation goal. Certified SBs, Micro Businesses (MB), SBs for the purpose of Public Works (SB-PW), and contractors willing to commit to subcontracting a minimum of twenty-five percent (25%) of their net bid price to certified SBs, MBs (if applicable), or SB-PWs, are encouraged to submit bids.
