Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call civil work for a playground / park / athletic field and water / sewer project.

The improvement includes clearing and grubbing, earthwork, storm sewer installation, Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) pavement, playground equipment, safety surfacing, seeding, and associated work including cleanup and restoration Accessibility for individuals with disabilities. The City of Des Moines is pleased to provide accommodations to individuals with disabilities or groups and encourages participation in City government. To better serve you, please notify us at least three business days in advance when possible at 515-283-4209, should special accommodations be required. Time for Commencement and Completion of Work. Work on each improvement shall be commenced upon approval of the contract by the Council, Bid Security. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code and as specified by the Jurisdiction. Preference for Iowa Products and Labor. By virtue of statutory authority, preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa, and to Iowa domestic labor, to the extent lawfully required under Iowa statutes. Sales Tax. The bidder should not include sales tax in the bid. A sales tax exemption certificate will be available for all material purchased for incorporation in the project. The City of Des Moines (Jurisdiction) reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
