GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK The major work will consist of the (approximate) following: UNIT 1: Paving Improvements: 474 SY of 2" Asphalt Pvmt, Type C (Base) 743 SY of 4" Asphalt Pvmt, Type B (Base) 415 SY of 7" Conc Pvmt 663 SY of 9" Conc Pvmt 1,054 LF of 6" Conc Curb and Gutter Traffic Signal, Striping and Illumination Improvements PREQUALIFICATION Certain improvements included in this project must be performed by a contractor or designated subcontractor who is pre-qualified by the City at the time of bid opening. The procedures for qualification and pre-qualification are outlined in the Section 3 of 00 21 13. To ensure potential bidders are kept up to date of any new information pertinent to this project, all interested parties are requested to email Expressions of Interest in this procurement to the City Project Manager and the Design Engineer. The email should include the company's name, contact person and that individual's email address and phone number. All Addenda will be distributed directly to those who have expressed an interest in the procurement and will also be posted in the City of Fort Worth's purchasing website. Invitations with links to the web conferencing application will be distributed directly to those who have submitted an Expression of Interest. If a prebid conference is held, the presentation and any questions and answers provided at the prebid conference will be issued as an Addendum to the call for bids. If a prebid conference is not being held, prospective bidders can e-mail questions or comments in accordance with Section 6 of the Instructions to Bidders referenced above to the project manager(s) at the e-mail addresses listed below. Emailed questions will suffice as "questions in writing." If necessary, Addenda will be issued pursuant to the Instructions to Bidders. City reserves the right to waive irregularities and to accept or reject any or all bids. AWARD City will award a contract to the Bidder presenting the lowest price, qualifications and competencies considered. The Citys M/WBE goal on this project is 24% The Work will be complete for Final Acceptance within 120 days
